His last achievement as a regional head was to break the 20-year competitor market dominance in the Eastern region. He has built strong stakeholder relationships with local government to improve partnerships.

Stakeholder engagement is central to the success of business operations, as part of his role he participates in stakeholder management from government to private sector to strengthen relationships and grow the business.

His current role is Regional Operations Executive where he is responsible for heading up all regional operations in Vodacom South Africa reporting to the CEO. This entails creating integration and alignment across different business units and regional operations. Also providing market insights to the business to assist in recalibrating strategy in execution.

Jacques’ expertise in bringing together public, private and not-for-profit implementation partners to drive impact in critical agricultural and healthcare areas has meant transformation of an estimated 65 million lives. These lives belong to last mile users who have limited access to technology due to their geographic and economic isolation. His skill in driving co-created partnerships and innovation in Africa have not only helped countries like Kenya and Tanzania leapfrog into the fourth industrial revolution, but have safe-guarded the beneficiaries and recipients of these last mile solutions.

Armed with a Master’s Degree from Stellenbosch University in Bio-Medical Engineering and an additional two years of lecturing in computer science system design, Jacques is committed to finding innovative mobile-enabled solutions that deliver sustainable social impact. He travels the African continent extensively to personally work with governments and enterprises in need of fully managed solutions that can facilitate change among the typical problems of states and companies today. He is regularly called upon by world forums in agriculture, healthcare, aid and social services and ICT industries to advise and consult on ways in which to use technology to improve the lives of last mile users. His personal agricultural preferences include the Western Cape’s red wine selection and the quality coffee that Africa is known worldwide for producing.

His extensive experience spans the FinTech and Digital industries, with a background in both start-up and corporate environments. At Mezzanine, he is instrumental in shaping financial strategies and capital allocation to support the company’s growth and market presence.

As CFO for International Business, Kenneth provided strategic finance leadership to the International Business portfolio: DRC, Lesotho, Ghana, Mozambique, and Tanzania to drive growth and deliver value to shareholders. Some of his notable achievements include driving effective financial target setting and performance, managing capital allocation and delivering budget results for the portfolio. He has also implemented new capital structures, enhanced regulatory compliance and drove the digital transformation of the finance function across the markets.

She joined Vodacom in March 2016 as Managing Executive: Finance Business Partner- Technology and Support. She then moved to Vodacom Business, as ME: FBP VB in November 2017 where she supported the business in driving financial and commercial discipline, governance and business performance, whilst implementing a revised strategy to build an anti-fragile enterprise business. She moved to Vodafone Group (UK) in September 2021 as Global Head of Finance: VBPS, Cyber Security and Strategy. She also serves on the Board of VBAGS (UK).

Martha holds a B.Compt (Hons-CTA), Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Management, Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration (Henley Business School), and has completed a Africa Senior Executive Programme with Harvard Business School, amongst other qualifications.

He has been central to the expansion and institutionalisation of Kenya’s digital economy, overseeing initiatives in digital health, agriculture, government payments, and financial inclusion. His leadership enabled the rollout of Kenya’s Digital Health Superhighway, supporting over KES 120 billion in claims and onboarding more than 29 million citizens to Universal Health Coverage. In agriculture, he led Large Scale AgriTech, the national e-subsidy platforms unlocking over KES 70 billion in value for more than 6 million farmers.

Boniface played a key role in the design and deployment of the Hustler Fund, which is the largest public sector Financial Inclusion program in Kenya having disbursed over KES 80 billion to more than 24 million Kenyans, demonstrating large-scale digital credit delivery and portfolio governance. He has also driven platform monetisation and ecosystem growth through Government open APIs delivered via KRA Open APIs, supporting thousands of developers.

Previously, he served as Head of M-PESA Payments business and Acting Chief Financial Services Officer at Safaricom PLC, with full P&L-adjacent responsibility for M-PESA, Africa’s leading mobile financial services ecosystem. He brings deep expertise in digital strategy, platform governance, risk and compliance, and public-private partnerships, positioning him well for advisory roles in emerging and frontier markets.
