Mezzanine’s Stock Visibility Solution (SVS) will begin to be used to monitor personal protective equipment (PPE) stock levels across the country this week. This is in addition to the monitoring and visibility it already provides the Department of Health (DOH) for all essential medicine stock levels in primary healthcare facilities in eight provinces in South Africa.

Mezzanine’s Stock Visibility Solution (SVS) will begin to be used to monitor personal protective equipment (PPE) stock levels across the country this week. This is in addition to the monitoring and visibility it already provides the Department of Health (DOH) for all essential medicine stock levels in primary healthcare facilities in eight provinces in South Africa.

SVS was developed in partnership with the National DOH in 2015. Since then it has been used with over 90% sustained adoption in over 3000 facilities. By digitising stock management, the solution provides centralised, end-to-end visibility about critical commodities, empowering supply chain planners and policy makers with actionable information.

SVS comprises a network agnostic android mobile application for facility pharmacies, supported by a cloud-based web management portal for analytics. SVS works on- and off-line, making it suitable for rapid, cost- effective deployment in low resource and low bandwidth environments.
